Ha Tinh province currently has about 52,000 people working, living or  studying abroad. In 2017, the amount they repatriated were more than $ 102 million, is one of the largest remittances in the country.

Ha Tinh community abroad is always looking towards building their homeland. Up to now, Ha Tinh has 6 projects invested by oversea Hatinhian,  with total registered capital of USD 9.33 million.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tuyen: “After 30 years back home for this Lunar New Year of Dog, I am so happy to see Ha Tinh is growing day by day. I hope that the province will continue to support and facilitate  investment by oversea Vietnamese so that the later can contribute to the development of the country.

Mr. Hoang Van Vinh, overseas Vietnamese in the Russian Federation thanked the Leaders of Ha Tinh who had always created favorable conditions for oversea Vietnamese when they returned home; At the same time, he affirmed that he would mobilize overseas compatriots, introduce overseas investors for a contributed building a richer, more peaceful, civilized and modern Ha Tinh homeland.

In general, the programs and projects are well implemented, in ensured progress, timely disbursement of capital, contribute to socio-economic development of the province. The projects have created jobs for local workers, contributing to the restructured and socio-economic development of Ha Tinh province

 Overseas compatriots always looking towards their homeland with love and sharing. At times of natural disasters, difficulties, overseas compatriots around the world send their support to the affected people. In 2017, the Vietnamese community in Germany supported 40,000 Euros; The  General Association of Vietnamese in Thailand supported VND 1,064 billion; Vietnamese’s Association in Sakon Nakhon province, Thailand supported VND 200 million; Vietnamese’s Association in Nong Khai province, Thailand supported VND 60 million; Vietnamese community in Poland supported nearly VND 300 million; Vietnamese community in Taiwan supported VND 180 million and 1 ton of rice; The Association of people from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces in the Czech Republic supported VND 400 million; the Vietnamese community in Korea Republic supported VND 180 million VND; Vietnamese Association in Laos PDR supported VND 149 million and USD 500, est.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent the most sincere thanks to all overseas compatriots who attended the program "Meet the Overseas in Spring 2018" and he wanted to send to the overseas Vietnamese living in Ha Tinh, work abroad greetings best wishes, health and happy New Year.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee stressed that whenever Ha Tinh is in difficulty, overseas Vietnamese are always supporting - that is a great source of motivation for the leadership and people of the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed about the recent socio-economic development, the province’s strategy for development in the coming time, especially in the period of 2020-2030; At the same time, he expressed wishes that overseas compatriots continue to tighten solidarity, mutualyl support, preserve national cultural identity, closely in relation with the homeland. Together with domestic Ha Tinh people, Ha Tinh compatriots abroad will make positive contribution to the development of the homeland, being as a bridge to bring Ha Tinh closer and faster to international friends.

The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere filled with feeling of love and connection; contributed tightening the connection between oversea compatriots with Ha Tinh’s Party and  people at home.
